An upset victory in what was meant to be a Thursday Night Footy drubbing of the competition's second worst team has continued the tipster's nightmare that is, season 2024.
The 8-point-win over home team and favourite, Adelaide Crows, gave Richmond just it's second win of the season with it's first coming against Sydney in round 3.
Richmond's efforts this year have been inpiring and full of pride - tight contest in Dreamtime against the Essendon edge, defeat of Sydney and again last night at the Adelaide Oval - despite losing coach Damien Hardwick less than 12 months ago and occupying one of the most injury ravaged lists of the AFL era.
On the other side of the scoresheet however, Adelaide have had an extremely underwhelming season thus far, with very little injuries.
With punters in the pre-season expecting this Crows team to make the leap into the 8, losses to 14th placed Hawthorn and 17th placed Tigers in the last fortnight have left tipster's well and truly scratching their heads.
Hawthorn have cost people a host of tips recently after finishing 16th in 2023 and a 2-6 start to this season before som major upsets in the last 5 weeks.
One of our home teams here in Western Australia, the 16th placed West Coast Eagles, have also pipped a couple of wins against unlikely opponents - 4th placed Melbourne Demons and 7th placed Fremantle Dockers.
There are plenty more games this week that could leave all of us wondering, what's the (tipping) point.
