Living in Perth, many of us can relate to the disappointment of missing out on artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and more! Perth is lil old “Perth”, yet we seem to be overlooked by celebrities. Why are they so hesitant to come here? Even someone like Post Malone (who loves Perth and keeps coming back), faces challenges like being turned away from places for not dressing "fancy" enough! It's baffling, considering it's Post Malone!! Despite some artists not experiencing Perth firsthand, some artists are coming to Perth this year and it’s time for us all to get our tickets and support these amazing acts!
DICE (22nd of June @The Rechabite)
A young Perth band, one of the fastest-rising bands in Australia’s indie rock scene. The band consists of members: Tom King (Guitarist), Regan Beazley (Bass player), Sam Barrett-Lennard (Drummer) and Ben Hodge (Vocals). They've been rocking venues nationwide and headlining some of the country’s biggest festivals. They're kicking off their "Quick to Judge Tour 2024" in NSW and will be touring across Australia with 14 amazing shows.To where they'll wrap up their last tour date in Perth, and we couldn't be more excited! 2. Cosmo's Midnight (13th of July @Astor Theatre)
Cosmo’s Midnight is known for producing dance/ electronic music, consisting of twin brothers Cosmo and Patrick Liney. The duo began producing music right after graduating high school in 2012 and has consistently delivered hit tracks ever since. They're bringing their "Stop Thinking, Start Feeling Tour" to Perth, celebrating their new album of the same name released on May 24th this year. 3. Teddy Swims (19th of July @Riverside Theatre)
Jaten Collin Dimsdale aka “Teddy Swims” is an american singer/songwriter with a blend of genres/music including: R&B, soul, country and pop. He’s making waves with his latest single, “ Lose Control” which has taken off with social media! The hit is a part of his new album titled “I’ve tried everything but therapy” which also features other popular songs like “The door” & “Hammer to the heart”. The album is coming out of the studio and live to Perth’s door step! 4. Yung Gravy (23rd of July @Centenary Warehouse, Mount Claremont)
Matthew Raymond Hauri known as “Yung Gravy” a 28 year old American rapper and singer/songwriter. Most known for his blend of modern trap music with vintage themes. His song “Gravy Train” absolutely took off with popularity on social media with samples from the 1976 song “Right back where we started from”. A mandatory must to take your mum to the show especially if she is single! She might just be spending the night with Yung Gravy himself! Make sure to get your tickets quickly and don’t miss out, touring with BBNO$!!
5. Iron Maiden (1st of September @RAC Arena)
YES THAT’S RIGHT!! Iron Maiden is back and heading to Perth! Iron Maiden made history as the first Western artists to bring full-scale production behind the Iron Curtain. They continue to hold legendary status with timeless songs that will never fade. Originally formed in 1975, they are now bringing their epic tour to Perth. 6. Tones & I (5th of September @Fremantle Arts Centre
Toni Watson, known as “Tones & I,” is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She shot to fame with her breakout single “Dance Monkey,” which topped the charts in 30 countries, including Australia. Starting her career after being made redundant from her retail job, she used her savings to pursue music. Recently, she released her new hit single “Wonderful” on May 17th this year, with more songs quietly in the works. She's a remarkable talent—don't miss the chance to see her perform live!
7. Confidence Man (24th of October @Freo Social)
Duo “Janet Planet” and “Reggie Goodchild” makeup Confidence Man! What started off writing dance songs together, initially as a “kind of joke” until they realised there was actually something there! In 2016 when the band was formed, they wasted no time to release their first album “Confident Music For Confident People” in April 2018, steadily gaining popularity since. Now, Confidence Man have announced their third album “3am (LA LA LA)” and has already dropped a single from it “I can’t lose you”! Their live performances are legendary, featuring killer dance moves that are truly one of a kind. Don’t miss out on experiencing their electrifying shows firsthand!
8. Hozier (06th of November @RAC Arena)
Andrew John Hozier-Byrne, better known as “Hozier,” is an Irish singer-songwriter known for his blend of folk, soul, and blues, often intertwining religious and literary themes with political or social justice stances. He first gained widespread recognition in 2013 with his EP “Take Me to Church,” which propelled him onto the Billboard Top 200 charts even before releasing his debut full-length album. Recently, he released his new album “Unreal Unearth: Unheard” on March 22nd this year, with his single “Sweet” gaining significant popularity. Given his immense popularity, act quickly and don’t miss out on this incredible event!
9. Dean Lewis (23rd of November @Kings Park)
Dean Lewis is known for his smash hit "Be Alright," which amassed over 1.2 million streams/views and achieved platinum certification within just four weeks of its release. Since 2016, Dean Lewis has been consistently producing exceptional music. He recently released a new single, "All I Ever Wanted," on May 30th and has just announced his upcoming world tour. Perth is fortunate to host such an incredible artist—make sure to secure your tickets before they sell out!
10. Dom Dolla (7th of December @Wellington Square)
If you are gonna be saving up you better save up for Dom Dolla! Dominic Matheson, better known as “Dom Dolla,” is an Australian songwriter, producer, and remixer you won't want to miss! This charismatic artist is back in Perth and better than ever. He recently dropped hit singles like "Saving Up" last year and the latest track "girl$" released on June 7th this year. Fun fact: If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of his biggest fan, his own mum (how cute)! Dom Dolla’s music is uniquely catchy, you might just catch the “Dom Dolla flu” and become a fan for life.
